About Jennifer Sierra, LMHC

– How I Can Help You –

If you’re looking for a therapist, something likely isn’t working the way it used to. You may be functioning “fine” on the outside—yet feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift on the inside.

I’m Jennifer Sierra, LMHC, a licensed mental health counselor in Orlando, offering in-person sessions in (Lake Nona) and telehealth across Florida.  I also offer equine-assisted psychotherapy as an optional in-person complement for established clients. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, and patterns shaped by past relationships or life experiences. I combine traditional talk therapy with evidence-based holistic interventions to support healing and lasting change. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I stay current on proven holistic approaches that complement therapy.

Clients often share that therapy feels personal and grounding—less like a formula, more like a thoughtful conversation that meets them where they are.

What Makes My Practice Different

I work with a select number of clients so I can provide care that goes beyond symptom management. Our work is evidence-informed and integrative, honoring the connection between mind and body—including the ways stress and trauma can show up in the nervous system.

We’ll pay attention to practical rhythms that shape mental health, like sleep, stress, coping, and lifestyle patterns. When helpful, we can also make room for meaning, values, and the inner life through reflection, journaling, stillness, or time in nature.

Because physical and emotional health are connected, I may recommend follow-up with your primary care provider or refer you to trusted collaborative providers (such as nutrition or medical specialists) when it would support your progress. I don’t provide medical care, but I can help you notice patterns, ask better questions, and advocate for thorough evaluation when something physical may be contributing.

You won’t be rushed or pushed. Therapy is paced with care and focused on what’s most relevant to you—so the work translates into real life.

My Approach

Healing is about transformative growth—not just symptom relief. I take time to understand your story, your relationships, and how stress may be showing up for you emotionally and physically. I draw from evidence-informed approaches such as CBT and ACT, along with relational, insight-oriented therapy. When appropriate, we can include practical lifestyle supports—like sleep and stress rhythms—that complement your overall well-being.

Spiritual well-being can also be part of whole-person health. In therapy, that may look like exploring values, meaning, purpose, and the inner life in a way that fits your background and preferences. If faith is important to you, I’m also able to integrate Christian counseling. As a Christian, I strive to live out my faith through love and service—showing up with compassion, honesty, and respect for each person’s story. Faith is never assumed or imposed, and clients of all backgrounds are welcome. Christian counseling is available by request. (You can read more in the Faith & Values Q&A on my Services page.)
