When the past still shapes how you feel, relate, and move through life. You may not think of it as “trauma”—but something still feels stuck.
Maybe you:
Feel anxious or on edge, even when things seem “fine”
Struggle with people-pleasing or setting boundaries
Keep repeating the same patterns in relationships
Feel overwhelmed by emotions—or disconnected from them
Find it hard to fully relax, trust others, or trust yourself
You’re not broken. You’re not overreacting. And you’re definitely not alone.
This is for you if you’ve tried to “push through” or “move on”—but the same patterns keep coming back.
At Holistic Mental Health Counseling, I provide trauma therapy in Orlando and Florida telehealth for women and young adults navigating anxiety, relational wounds, childhood experiences, and emotional patterns that continue to impact daily life.
You matter
You do not need to have a “big” trauma for your experiences to matter.
Therapy can help
If your past still affects how you feel, think, relate, or respond to stress, therapy can help you better understand those patterns and begin healing from them.
Healing can begin
These patterns are not personal failures. Often, they are protective responses that developed over time
When Past Experiences Still Affect the Present
Not all trauma comes from one major event. If your past still affects how you feel, think, relate, or respond to stress, therapy can help you better understand those patterns and begin healing from them.
We offer online counseling so you can receive support from home. Many clients find it easier to open up—and easier to practice grounding
tools—when they’re in a familiar space. It’s also simply more convenient: no commute, less time off work, and a smoother way to fit therapy
into real life.
Prefer in person? We also offer in-person sessions in the Lake Nona area.
Attachment Therapy & Trauma Healing: What Our Work Together Looks Like
This isn’t about reliving the past or just talking through what happened. My approach draws on trauma-informed and attachment therapy principles — exploring how your earliest experiences shaped the way you connect with yourself and others, and rebuilding that from the inside out.
Together we work on:
✓ Understanding your emotional patterns
✓Building the ability to regulate emotions without shut down or overreacting
✓Feel present in conversations instead of stuck in their head
✓Setting boundaries without guilt
✓Strengthening self-trust and a calmer inner voice
✓Building relationships that feel safer and more secure
My approach is collaborative, paced for you, and integrates traditional talk therapy with holistic and experiential methods. You can also learn more about Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Christian Counseling as additional options.
Self-Compassion for Trauma
Self-compassion is an essential element of healing from trauma. We’ll work with you to nurture your self-compassion and help you develop a more accepting and supportive relationship with yourself, incorporating holistic techniques and practices that extend beyond therapy sessions.
Trauma Therapy for Women
I work with women who often feel:
Responsible for everyone else’s emotions
Burnt out from over-giving
Stuck in cycles of self-doubt, anxiety, or overthinking
Disconnected from their own needs and identity
Together, we focus on helping you reconnect with your voice, your boundaries, and a stronger sense of self.
Trauma Therapy for Young Adults
I also work with young adults navigating:
Identity and life transitions
Relationship patterns and family dynamics
Anxiety connected to past experiences
Stress, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty coping
The pressure to “hold it together” while feeling lost internally
Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, process deeper patterns, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
